Dance 2 (at A&E)

Dance 2 is a class for dancers with 3-4 years of dance experience that is going to explore multiple dance techniques, styles of dance and performance skills. This session will focus on Lyrical dance style. Lyrical is a soft expressive dance style conveying emotions of hurt, love, longing, and compassion. Lyrical uses technical skills of ballet and blends them with the fluid style of Jazz and contemporary dance. This style of dance is a way of emotional story telling that will tug at the heart strings. Class will consist of warm-up exercises, technique, learning set choreography and a performance on the last day of class.

Dress code:

• Dance shoes: Preferably Jazz shoes (Ballet shoes or character shoes will also work) NO street shoes (tennis shoes, sandals, flipflops, boots etc…)
• Athletic wear: Jazz pants, leggings, athletic tops, Leotards are optional

This class is a supportive and encouraging space for dancers with some experience. This will be a lighthearted, energetic place to learn, enjoy and experience the world of dance with no judgement. ALL are welcome and encouraged to join the beautiful world of dance!
